Karine Chambefort-Kay holds a PhD in British studies and teaches at the English Department of Université Paris Est Créteil. Her thesis is entitled “Photographic Narratives of Collective Identities: Class, Ethnicity and Nation in British photography, 1990-2010”. Her research interests include the cultural, social, and political uses of images in British contemporary society, as well as exhibition cultures and policies, and the issues of identity formation, memory and nationalism
